Mandlenkosi Mavengere, born in 1992 in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, is a printmaker and painter. He moved to South Africa and completed a three-year printmaking course at Artist Proof Studio. In 2016, he curated an exhibition hosted by Strauss & Co. He interned at William Kentridge Studio in 2017, where his money-themed paintings gained prominence. His work has been exhibited in notable galleries, art fairs, auctions, and private collections both locally and internationally.

 

Mavengere partnered with Save The Children South Africa and held a collaboration exhibition at the Africa Legal Awards 2022. In 2023, he was a resident artist for CMS TAX & LAW firm and collaborated with the Africa Rising Film Festival. He is set to exhibit at the 2nd Global Conference of Statelessness in Malaysia in February 2024.
